Shannon Flecke

Shannon became a student at St. Louis Irish Arts when she was 4 years old. As a SLIA student, she continued to develop her Irish dancing and competitively progressed up to the championship levels.  

Shannon attended Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, earning a dual Bachelors of Arts degree in History and English Writing. In December 2012, Shannon completed her Masters of History from the University of Missouri St. Louis.  
Shannon performed in Ireland during the summer seasons 2008-2010 at the Bru Boru Cultural Heritage Centre in Cashel, Co. Tipperary. In 2010 she also performed with SLIA in Shanghai, China at the World Expo Ireland Pavillion.  She has also performed at events throughout the US - including the Winfield Bluegrass Festival in Kansas and the Dublin Irish Festival in Ohio - and with a variety of international artists including: The Cheiftans, Cherish the Ladies, Black 47, Teada, Eileen Ivers and Martin Hayes.
Over the years, Shannon has become more involved with Comhaltas Ceoltori Eireann.  She was elected as the Youth Officer of the CCE North American Province in 2005-2009. She now serves as the Midwest Regional Secretary. 
In addition to teaching at St. Louis Irish Arts, Shannon opened - an online vintage clothing and accessories store - in 2012..
