General Information about us

Our school is in the Immaculate Conception Building at 2934 Marshall Ave. It's at the crossroads of Marshall and Anna, near the Schlafly Brewery in Maplewood.

Our director is Mrs. Helen Gannon, from Limerick in Ireland.  We teach Irish music, dance, song, language, lilting and more. We absolutely love what we do, and it shows. Many of our teachers are themselves world champions. Just this summer, we brought a group of students to Ireland for the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis and our students represented St. Louis very well. You would have been proud to see them!

Children ages 4 + are welcome to join us. Just stop in on Mon, Tues or Wed afternoons, sometime after 4.30 to meet Mrs. Gannon and get a feel for the school.

Adult classes also available.

Registration for the coming year will be held on Monday, September 19th from 6 - 8 pm in our school.

There are free trial classes from September 26 - September 28.

Many instruments can be rented, but we encourage you to purchase your own after you have determined whether your child will stick with it.

We are a proud member of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and we encourage ALL our families to join. They are an organization based in Ireland that does a lot to promote and preserve the ancient traditions of Ireland. They maintain their headquarters in Dublin and store collections of musical and dance archives, they organize massive events like Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and the regional fleadhanna (also here in the USA). They do so much to keep our traditions alive and well. There is an annual $50 family fee to join, but it goes so far.

All mail to our school should be sent to SLIA, 7480 Whitehaven Dr, St. Louis, MO 63125
